Smart Pricing introduces time-based pricing windows within Payload sites, allowing clients to offer enhanced value during specific periods of an event. The feature is designed to drive engagement and increase conversion by clearly communicating when a better value is available.
How it works
Smart Pricing windows are configured in the Admin Portal with defined start and end times. During these windows, selected price points can offer enhanced value.
On the landing page, a Smart Pricing alert component communicates the current state of the window to users, along with a countdown timer where applicable.
User Experience
The Smart Pricing component supports three states:
- Coming Soon
Displayed ahead of the Smart Pricing window (based on a configurable offset). This informs users that enhanced pricing will be available shortly. - Live
Displayed while the Smart Pricing window is active. Users can take advantage of improved value during this time. - Ending Soon
Displayed shortly before the window closes (based on a configurable offset), creating urgency and encouraging final purchases.
Only one state is shown at a time, and transitions between states are handled automatically based on the configured timing.
These 3 states can be enabled or disabled independently, meaning 1 or 2 can be shown rather than all 3 if required. The wording for all 3 is also editable.
