Based on feedback from our clients, we've introduced the ability to display the device's status bar within the new POS app.
By default, the status bar is hidden to maximise the available screen space. However, during live events, some sellers found it difficult to monitor their device's battery level, which occasionally resulted in devices running out of charge before they could be plugged in.
To help with this, users can now choose to enable the status bar, allowing them to view important device information while using the app.
Why is this useful?
When enabled, the status bar provides visibility of:
- Battery percentage and charge status
- Current time
- Network and connectivity information
This helps sellers better manage their devices during events and reduces the risk of unexpected interruptions due to low battery.
How to Enable the Status Bar
- Open the navigation menu from within the POS app.
- Locate the Status Bar option.
- Tap the option to toggle between:
- Status Bar: Off
- Status Bar: On
The change is applied immediately.
Status Bar Disabled (Default)
When disabled, the device's status information is hidden from view.
Status Bar Enabled
When enabled, the device's status information becomes visible at the top of the screen, allowing sellers to monitor battery level, time, and network status while continuing to use the POS app.
