When setting up your membership charge dates we recommend if you are going to retry charging members who were initially declined at a minimum of 24 hours after the initial attempt.
This allows customers time to update information such as adding a new card, updating expired card information or other factors that can go into a decline return.
We strongly recommend to NEVER use the retry function on the same day as the initial charge date. Setting the retry to the same day will lead to a very low success rate on the retry and does not give customers ample time to update card information if needed.
