Velocity allows the user to connect their organization’s existing email service provider (ESP) so fundraising communications can be sent to supporters without uploading email lists directly into the platform. This ensures supporter data remains secure and stored only within the ESP account.
Currently supported ESPs:
Mailchimp
Constant Contact
Once connected, Velocity will send campaign emails to the selected audience or segment directly through the ESP.
Why Connect an ESP?
Connecting an ESP allows the user to:
Use existing subscriber lists without manually uploading a CSV file
Maintain full control and ownership of supporter data
Ensure email delivery follows the ESP’s compliance standards
How to Connect an ESP
The user logs into their Velocity account
In the left navigation menu, the user selects Email Setup
The user chooses Mailchimp or Constant Contact
The user is redirected to the ESP login page
The user logs in and authorizes Velocity to access the audience list
Once the authorization is complete, the user will be redirected back to Velocity.
Selecting an Audience & Segment
After access is granted:
The user selects the appropriate Audience/List
The user chooses the Name and Sender email address that will be shown as the source of outgoing emails.
