Organization users can invite Ambassadors to the platform in two ways:
By adding them individually
By uploading multiple ambassadors at once using a CSV file
Ambassadors are individuals who will receive a unique referral link to promote the organization’s fundraising campaign. Any sales made through their link will be attributed back to the ambassador and their organization.
Add a Single Ambassador
From the Organization Dashboard, the user will select Ambassadors from the left-hand menu.
Click Invite.
Enter the following details:
Ambassador Name (required) - this is to allow for the scenario where the ambassador is a team rather than an individual
First Name (required)
Last Name (required)
Email Address (required — used to send the welcome email to login to their account)
Phone Number (optional)
Click Create Ambassador.
Once saved, the ambassador will automatically receive a welcome email containing a link to the Velocity platform and their unique referral link.
Upload Multiple Ambassadors (CSV Upload)
If the organization user has several ambassadors to add, they can upload them all at once using a CSV file.
From the Ambassadors page, click Upload CSV.
Download the provided CSV template (recommended) to ensure the file is correctly formatted.
Fill in the CSV with the ambassador details using the following columns:
Name
First Name
Last Name
Email Address
Phone Number (optional)
Save the completed CSV file (maximum size allowed is 10mb).
Upload the file by selecting Choose File and then Continue.
Velocity will automatically validate the CSV. Any errors (e.g., missing required fields or invalid email formats) will be flagged for correction before the upload completes.
Once processed, each ambassador listed in the file will receive a welcome email and their unique referral link.
Managing Ambassadors
After ambassadors have been added, they will appear in the Ambassadors list within the dashboard. From here, the user can:
View all existing ambassadors
Edit or remove an ambassador if needed
Re-send their welcome email
The status of the invite will also be shown. This allows the organization user to see if the ambassador has accepted their invite or not. Pending will show when an ambassador has not yet logged into their dashboard. Accepted means the ambassador has opened the welcome email and has accessed their account.
