If you see an expired transaction within Shopify please do the following steps:
- Verify if they are in the draw. Use the reporting function within the raffle admin portal to pull a report to confirm if they are in the draw or not.
- Next go to authorize.net and confirm if the transaction shows as settled successfully.
- If the transaction is settled successfully in authorize.net and NOT in the draw then refund the transaction in question. If there is any other status shown outside of settled successfully or captured/pending settlement you can leave the transaction as is and it will not post to the customers account.
Why is this happening?
There is a known issue from authorize.net and Shopify with their current integration where the transaction response is not passed successfully. We have reached out to both Shopify and authorize.net in the past and they are aware and working on this issue.
